Prem Mandir, Vrindavan
Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj became famous as a storyteller of Vrindavan who knew the entire Geeta by heart.
Kripalu Maharaj built a magnificent temple of Lord Krishna and Radha and named this temple Prem Mandir.
An amount of more than Rs 100 crore was spent on this amazing temple which was completed in 2012.
It took 11 years to build this white marble temple. Italian marble has been used in it and it has been prepared by one thousand craftsmen from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
This temple is an example of the renaissance of ancient Indian sculpture.
The entire temple is built on 54 acres and its height is 125 feet, length is 122 feet and width is 115 feet. It has fountains, beautiful tableaux of Radha-Krishna, tableaux of Shri Govardhan Leela, Kalia Nag Daman Leela, Jhulan Leela decorated in the middle of the gardens.
Most of the pillars have statues of Gopis, which appear to be alive.
